End milling, hollow milling or surface milling? 3-axis or 5-axis milling? Complex industrial components required? No problem. We can do it.
CNC milling manufacturing
Whether it's the most complex geometry with intricate contours, slots and cavities or a simple component. At WIEDMANN, we manufacture high-end industrial components of all kinds – according to precision specifications and the desired surface quality.
Production takes place 100% in our workshops in Germany: from CAD development and cutting the workpieces to length through to milling and surface finishing - we carry out all production processes in-house.
To ensure even the smallest dimensional tolerances, we use the highest quality tools, modern CNC machines and extensive testing and measuring equipment - everything for perfect precision.

Advantages of CNC milling
- Precision: highest component precision with exceptional accuracy possible
- High speed: efficient processing through Computerized Numerical Control (CNC production)
- Flexibility: high flexibility in terms of component geometry and quick adaptability
- Variety: wide range of applications
- Automation: economical production process independent of batch size
- Wide range of materials: almost all metals and plastics can be processed
Range of applications for CNC milling processing
The range of applications for CNC milling is virtually unlimited. Almost all industrial sectors use CNC-milled components. At WIEDMANN, for example, we manufacture robot grippers, prisms, gripper fingers, components for automatic gluing machines, stainless steel parts for cold exchangers, scatter shafts, deflection rollers, guide rails, pump elements, components for navigation systems, satellites, packaging systems, robot systems, dairy plants and much more...

More information on CNC milling
CNC milling is the ideal manufacturing solution for sophisticated industrial components with complex geometries. But how does CNC milling actually work? Which materials can be processed using CNC? And what does CNC milling cost?
How CNC milling works
Like CNC turning and CNC grinding, CNC milling is a material-removing process (machining). CNC milling is basically the opposite of 3D printing. In 3D printing, material is applied – in CNC milling, on the other hand, material is removed.
The abbreviation CNC stands for Computerized Numerical Control. Using a computer and coordinate-supported CNC software, the design data of the component (dimensions) is transferred directly to the CNC machine for production. This enables the most precise production in the μm range.
Which materials can be CNC milled ?
The following materials can be processed using CNC milling: all types of steel, all types of cast iron, aluminum, copper alloys such as copper, brass and bronze as well as various plastics.
- Steel: z.B. ST52-3 (1.0570), C45 (1.0503), 42CrMo4V (1.7225), 1.7131 (16MnCr5)
- Stainless steel: z.B. 1.4021, 1.4028, 1.4034. 1.4305, 1.4401
- Tooling steel: z.B. 1.2311, 1.2343, 1.2344, 1.2379
- Aluminum: z.B. 3.1325 (EN AW-2017), 3.1645 (EN AW-2007), 3.2315 (EN AW-6082)
- Cu alloys: Copper, bronze, brass
- Casting types: GG, GGG
- Plastics: z.B. PVC, POM, Peek, Teflon
How much does CNC milling cost ?
Simple CNC milling components can be manufactured from as little as EUR 30. However, the price must be calculated individually for each CNC milling project. The cost per part depends on: Starting material, component size, geometry complexity, machine hours, design specification such as surface roughness, tolerance options and ultimately the production volume.
We will be happy to calculate your milling component.
