Individual component labeling necessary? Serial number, QR code, barcode or logo? With pleasure. Almost any base material is suitable for individual, unique laser marking.
Possible processes & advantages of laser marking
There are generally different methods available for marking components: mechanical engraving, chemical etching and laser marking or laser engraving. Mechanical engraving and chemical etching have a significant influence on the atomic structure of the material. Laser marking or laser engraving, on the other hand, has virtually no effect on the material. In addition, laser marking enables more precise contours compared to mechanical engraving. However, laser marking offers even more advantages.
Advantages of laser marking
- most forgery-proof component marking
- durable marking: water, smudge and abrasion resistant
- acid and heat resistant
- clear traceability even years later
- can be used on almost all base materials
- non-contact: no mechanical stress on the components
- environmentally friendly: laser marking does not generate any waste and no emissions
- efficient and cost-effective solution, especially for small quantities

Possible applications for laser marking
In principle, any conceivable marking is possible - whether text, b/w image or symbol. Here are a few typical applications:
- serial numbers, assembly numbers, identification numbers, ...
- barcodes, data matrix, barcodes, QR codes, UDI, CE marking ...
- manufacturer identification, brand names, product names, ...
- logos, symbols or other branding elements
- safety instructions, technical instructions, ...
- labeling regulations, safety markings, markings for further assembly/processing, ...
